Hand showers

When decorating a bathroom or carrying out an overall bathroom renovation, it is worth paying attention to all the details, even the smallest ones. Many of these are crucial for daily hygiene, including bathing. A good example of this is the shower head – its choice should not be left to chance. This part of the bathroom fittings seems trivial. In fact, each shower head offers completely different options, including jet types and flow rates. The appearance of the shower head is also important, and should correspond to the interior design of the room. In our shop, in the category of shower heads, we have focused on diversity in terms of function and design. Everyone will easily find the shower head that perfectly matches their own bathroom.

Construction of the shower head

The shower head is the most sensitive part of the fitting, mainly because of how intensively it is used. Therefore, when choosing a shower head that will be placed inside the shower enclosure, it is worth paying attention to the material from which it is made. Among other things, good durability is provided by brass, which is extremely strong. It is not true, however, that brass shower heads must be very heavy. Today's shower head models are extremely slim, so there is absolutely no problem holding them comfortably. The disadvantage of a brass shower head is usually only one spray mode.

If the user cares about choice, they should invest in a shower head made of high-quality plastic. Interestingly, the two variants do not differ from each other visually, as most shower heads are covered with an additional coating anyway, such as chrome. The shower head consists of a body and a head. This first part acts as a carrier and allows for a comfortable grip on the shower head. The water comes out through the head, flowing in a specific type of jet. Therefore, the head is the most susceptible to damage, and when looking at a particular model, it is worth paying particular attention to the quality of its workmanship. In addition to water pressure, the shower head should be able to withstand possible falls. During use, it is bound to hit the shower door or the shower tray with the drain more than once.

Ergonomic shower head

The shower head is still an interesting alternative to the increasingly popular rain showers. Many users can't imagine taking a shower without a shower head that can be held in the hand, directing the flow of water wherever they want. If the body fits easily in the hand and the whole shower head does not weigh much, it is a really comfortable solution. The shower head models in our range are equipped with the Oltens EasyClick function. It allows you to change the jet at the touch of a button, and the entire shower head can be operated with one hand. This ensures comfort and extreme precision, which also contributes to water saving.

Shower head with different spray modes

For many users, the appearance of the shower head is of marginal importance. What counts above all is functionality, namely the ability to change the type of water jet. Why is this function so important? Each jet plays a slightly different role, and the ability to choose is a value in itself. Some of the most popular water jets found in contemporary shower heads include:
    • Rain jet – the classic option. A relatively gentle, yet broadly rain-like jet of water flows through the individual nozzles in the form of trickles. It is the best choice for an effective body wash, but also very pleasant for the skin and relaxing.
    • Soft jet – this type of jet is even more relaxing. The water comes out of the largest nozzles on most models, creating a very gentle jet that flows over the skin. It is a very good choice for warm baths on cold days. In addition, shower heads equipped with a soft jet are perfect for washing hair, which needs to be done gently.
    • Massage jet – the perfect choice for those who want to create a pleasant home spa zone within their shower walls. In this variant, the water flows from the head in the form of several strong jets. The best contemporary shower heads can provide enough intensity to give your body an invigorating hydromassage while in this mode.

Shower head with flow restrictor

When choosing a shower head, it is worth paying attention to the possibility of having a water flow restrictor. Shower heads equipped with this feature include a restrictor to set the maximum flow rate. This is very important from the point of view of water saving, which is becoming increasingly important. After all, Poland is one of the countries with the lowest freshwater resources in Europe, and excessive consumption translates into high bills. There is no point overpaying when a good shower head with a restricted flow rate can deliver the performance you need.

Quick limescale removal system

From the point of view of the longevity of the shower head, it is important to be able to remove limescale, which has a degenerative effect on it and limits its functionality. The shower heads available in our shop are equipped with a quick limescale removal system, which is done by wiping the silicone nozzles with a finger. When investing in high-quality shower sets, it is worth ensuring that the quality of the shower head does not stand out from the rest of the accessories.

Interaction with individual water heaters

In modern homes we can find both storage and instantaneous water heaters. Not all shower heads are suitable for bathrooms and homes equipped with the latter option, so read the manufacturer's description before purchasing to avoid any unpleasant surprises.

Designer shower heads for every bathroom

Design is an equally important criterion when choosing a shower head. In our range you can find shower heads characterised by various shapes – from round, through square to super slim. When it comes to colours, the shop offers universal black and white shower heads, elegant chrome-plated ones, as well as gold models that add a touch of luxury to the interior design.
