Rain shower heads

A bathroom renovation is a great opportunity to replace a classic shower with a rain shower. Installing a rain shower is also a very popular choice for people who are finishing their home. A wide water jet is the most important advantage of a wall-mounted, ceiling-mounted and handheld rain shower. This functional shower mixer can be installed either in a shower enclosure or over a built-in bathtub. The choice of a particular model depends on the comfort of the user, the size of the enclosure, but also the style in which the room is decorated. The product range of our shop is very wide and includes rain showers of various designs, sizes and installation methods. Everyone will find the perfect model for their bathroom!

The most important advantages of a rain shower

The rain shower, like other models, has unique advantages over the traditional shower head. This convenient shower mixer can be attached to the wall or ceiling, where, true to its name, it provides an intense and wide water jet in the shower enclosure or built-in bathtub. As a result, there is no need to manoeuvre the shower head while taking a bath, and both hands remain free at all times. Fans of rain showers also note that the warm water flowing in a wide jet warms the body faster on cold days. Using a good rain shower allows you to regulate the intensity of the water jet, which then flows into the shower tray and down the drain. Thus, contrary to appearances, its water consumption does not have to be high. A fine mist is more than enough for an effective bath. At the other extreme, there is an intense jet that additionally provides the body with a pleasant massage. The rain shower is therefore a worthwhile alternative to traditional shower sets.

Wall-mounted, ceiling-mounted, handheld – types of rain showers

Although the operating principle of a rain shower is always the same, individual models can vary considerably. The most popular are the rain showers made of high-quality stainless steel, which can be found in our shop. In addition to the difference in materials from which the mixer is made, rain showers come in a variety of shapes – usually square or round. When choosing a rain shower, it is worth paying attention to the number of holes, which is reflected in the water jet generated by the mixer. In our shop you can also find models equipped with a flow restrictor, which has an impact not only on water consumption, but also on the comfort of users taking a bath.

The main division of rain showers relates to how they are installed. On this basis, we can distinguish the following types:
    • Handheld rain shower – this type of shower is characterised by very simple installation, which is why it is very popular, especially in renovated or modernised bathrooms. The rain shower is simply installed in the bracket where the shower was previously located.
    • Concealed wall-mounted rain shower – this model is the most troublesome to install, as the entire installation responsible for water flow is located inside the wall. This, of course, requires opening up the plaster and wall. The reward for the effort is the elegance and minimalism much sought after in modern apartments, including in bathrooms. At the same time, this aesthetically pleasing installation method requires careful consideration, as the concealed wall-mounted rain shower does not have a height adjustment function. Its position should therefore be chosen in a way that is universal for people of different heights.
    • Surface-mounted rain shower – is a classic wall-mounted rain shower, where the entire installation is on the outside. Installation is therefore less troublesome, but the visible mixer and hose are not necessarily to everyone's taste.
    • Ceiling-mounted rain shower – true to its name, this category includes rain showers mounted directly on the ceiling or soffit. Here the entire installation, mounted on a special bracket, is also uncovered, but this does not make much difference to users due to its location. This is why ceiling rain showers are among the most popular models on the market and are also available in our shop. A ceiling-mounted rain shower requires the shower walls to be high enough to prevent water from spilling onto the floor. Its use translates into space saving, as there is more room left inside the enclosure for any ergonomic accessories.

Rain shower and size of the shower enclosure

The choice of a particular model of handheld, ceiling-mounted or wall-mounted rain shower depends largely on the size of the shower enclosure. In the case of classic enclosures of limited dimensions, it is worth opting for a mixer with a smaller head, with a maximum diameter or side of 30 cm. The larger the size of the shower enclosure, the larger the rain shower that can be placed in it. Owners of spacious walk-in enclosures with high walls and shower doors have the most elbow room. A ceiling-mounted rain shower is great for such conditions – despite its high position, there is no risk of water running out and flooding the floor.

Rain shower over the bathtub

Installing a rain shower over the bathtub is a separate issue. For this to make sense, the bathtub must be built with as high a screen as possible. Otherwise the bathroom will be regularly splashed. While a ceiling-mounted rain shower makes sense for shower enclosures, for bathtubs it is better to choose a handheld or wall-mounted rain shower.

Rain shower matching the design of the bathroom
In addition to functionality, when choosing a rain shower, it is worth paying attention to the design. Nowadays, just as much attention is paid to the design of the bathroom as to the furnishings of the other rooms in the home. After all, the bathroom is supposed to be a place of relaxation where everyone feels great. Taking into account the variety of currently popular design styles, we have focused on a diverse range of rain showers in our shop. These include round and square models.

In addition, they also differ in colour. Steel, chrome-plated rain showers are a rather universal solution, which looks great especially in modern bathrooms. Black models, on the other hand, will work well in rooms with a minimalist, austere design, including Scandinavian style. For lovers of retro, vintage and glamour trends, we have a wide range of gold ceiling-mounted and wall-mounted rain showers.
