A shower set is the best way to equip a shower enclosure or a built-in bathtub while maintaining a consistent style. This term covers a wide range of fittings, from the simplest type equipped with a handle and bracket to very complex shower mixers with a rain shower and many parts such as soap dishes and rings. Traditional shower mixers are equipped with a shower head, a bar and a hose. Optional accessories include, for example, a convenient soap dish. Despite the growing popularity of shower sets with a rain shower, handheld shower heads still have a large number of fans. They are usually a cheaper solution and are also very easy to install. The design of this type of mixer means that water consumption can be a little higher, and the user has to wait before reaching the right water temperature. However, it is hard not to appreciate the option to adjust the height due to the presence of the bar. When choosing a shower set equipped with a handheld shower head, it is definitely worth paying attention to the ergonomics of using it. It is determined by a comfortable grip on the body of the shower head, and in more advanced versions, the possibility to adjust the water jet with one hand.

A shower mixer with a rain shower is an alternative solution. The latter, incidentally, can complement a traditional shower head – the two solutions are not mutually exclusive. According to many users, a wall- or ceiling-mounted rain shower is an extremely convenient solution. After setting the desired water jet, the user has both hands free to use and the water flows pleasantly over the body. A shower set with a rain shower allows you to take an extra quick bath, for example after physical activity. It is worth remembering that the use of a rain shower usually requires high shower walls, as well as doors, so that the water does not get outside, but ends up in the shower tray and drain. Compared to showers with a handheld shower head, models with a rain shower tend to use less water, but they do not allow for a precise wash – this means you have to wet your hair every time, which is not to everyone's liking. Shower sets with a rain shower placed high up can be problematic to clean due to limited reach. We leave it up to the customer to choose, and there is no shortage of models using both solutions.

Concealed or wall-mounted shower set
Shower sets with a rain shower can be divided into two groups depending on the installation method:
    • wall-mounted shower mixers,
    • concealed mixers.

In the case of wall-mounted shower sets with a rain shower, also known as surface-mounted shower sets, a very big advantage is the easy installation. It does not require major interference with the wall, so the rain shower can be installed in the enclosure without an overall bathroom renovation. This makes it easy to connect the shower mixer with the rain shower to the existing installation. It is worth remembering that the costs of such a set will be slightly lower than in the case of an installation located under the plaster. For some users, the disadvantage of surface-mounted shower sets is that they take up a lot of space. This is especially important in smaller bathrooms and shower enclosures of modest dimensions. The outside installation needs to be cleaned regularly to maintain its functionality and to keep the bathroom looking aesthetically pleasing.

In their case, only the rain shower is on the outside, while the other elements of the system are hidden inside the wall. Such a solution perfectly corresponds to the modern, minimalist style of bathroom furnishing. Thus, cleaning the set is less of a hassle. These types of sets supply several sources of water simultaneously, for example a rain shower and a classic shower head. When choosing a concealed shower set, you need to dig a little deeper into your wallet, although the models available in our shop are of excellent price and quality. It is an investment for years to come. However, installation requires the help of a specialist who will take care of the rather complicated fitting, but afterwards you can comfortably enjoy the benefits provided by the rain shower.
